Pro activated with no issues, SSD combined with the i5 quad core is blazingly faster than what the customer previously had. Arrived almost a full week before expected date. I own an IT consulting firm, and will definitely use Stallion Tek again for this.

This small form factor (SFF) fits my home office desk perfectly and looks great! It's a 2018 model HP Compaq Business Pro and has every feature I needed in a fully business capable device. An intel i5, 500 GB SSD, pre installed Windows 10 Professional OS, DVD, Wi Fi , Bluetooth and importantly, 4 -2.0 USB and 4- 3.0 USB. It came with a USB 600 Mbps Wi Fi adapter and good quality wired keyboard and wired mouse but I bought a Combo Logitech wireless set for convenience and a 1200 Mbps Duel band adapter. Also purchased and downloaded with no issue whatsoever, 2019 MS Office Business Professional Suite. All this for under $400!! And both the sellers and Amazon's guarantee should they ever be needed (don't think so!). I am really pleased and will replace my 2011 HP laptop with a recent Certified refurbished one next month. I no longer have any apprehension about Certified refurbished machines. Bob F.
An excellent buy at the price
I am not a gamer & haven't needed tech support, so will not rate those areas. I started by connecting my old LCD monitor & pairing my wireless keyboard & mouse (instantly). I then partitioned the drive & installed Linux Mint on the new partition. I then restored the backup from my 8 year old PC. I had no setup problems & the improvement was immediately obvious.
The first couple of days, one of the cooling fans would occasionally kick into overdrive with a grinding/grating noise, but I decided it was just needing to "break in". By the 3rd day, it was no longer happening & it has been quiet ever since.
My old PC had 4GB Ram & was frequently freezing when I loaded more than 3 tabs on Firefox. With 8 GB, I have had no freezes on this one. The only minor complaint I have is that my Anker bluetooth speaker drops out one room closer than it did with the old PC.
Overall, VERY happy.

Ordered this computer on a Thursday evening, and it arrived Saturday morning, 4 days early! Had to wait 1 additional day for the monitor to arrive(different vendor). Once I connected everything, setup was a breeze. This unit is in good shape cosmetically, runs silent, and is more than fast enough for my needs (I am not a gamer). Plenty of memory and a good processor. The included keyboard and mouse are generic and cheap, but do the job for now. I would recommend this unit to anyone shopping for a "budget" desktop.

This is the first time I took a chance on a refurbished computer for home use. Last time I bought one new at a big box store and paid extra to have them install what we wanted on it.
What a bargain! The case looks like new with one minor flaw, a slight misalignment on a face plate (see photo - if I wanted to open the box and reposition it I could, but it doesn't bother me.) I, the end customer, and not technical, was able to set it up following the directions with no real difficulty and just a slight amount of frustration. Windows 10 loaded nicely. I added MS Office 365 and the virus protection package I had just renewed on our sluggish old box, and we had backed up all our data to an external drive, so moved that over and restored. It now acts and looks onscreen just like the old box did but is blazingly faster. I may replace the keyboard that came with it eventually and go with something wireless and a little smoother, but we have for now adapted and are fine. Our old monitor and bluetooth headphones (using a USB dongle) connected easily. I'm in my 70's and the other primary user into her 80's - that's to let you know we are no young, tech-savvy chicks, and we are both slightly averse to a lot of change. Given that, we are both thrilled with the low cost and high quality of this purchase. We mostly use it for social media, documents and spreadsheets, photo sharing, and a few simple games, so we are not power users, but it does get used a lot every day. I was impressed, too, with the packaging. It arrived very well protected. I'm thinking of using the firm plastic pillow that surrounded it as an Ottoman.
Exactly as described
PC arrived in great condition when ordered from StallionTek. No shipping damage at all. PC specs were exactly as described and booted up promptly into Windows 10 with no hiccups. Will definitey recommend this to any friends/family in the future who need new PC "that just works."
Seems like a great purchase so far
I did a lot of research before buying a computer and I'm not disappointed. I basically needed a desktop to connect two monitors to that I could remote access my work desktop through the internet. Therefore, I didn't need anything fancy but I also didn't want to buy something with old technology. I decided to chance buying refurbished due to warranty and decided that a SSD was something worth trying out. All of this has worked out great so far. The computer starts up super fast and operates smoothly. Setup was very fast. My only hiccup was the Windows key was from the previous registration and I had to just go in and change it to the key found on the tower. Once that was done it worked great. Hopefully this holds up for many years as I basically just need it to get onto the internet. I'll eventually probably use it for picture storage and editing.

Hi. I needed to find a refurbished general use computer for a friend of mine who had a budget limit that made me wonder if I could succeed, I wanted him to have something that would stand up well to more intense (not gaming) use than my friend would ever put it through so it would last. I have to say I was a little nervous at first having read some poor reviews as far as shipping damage was concerned. When it arrived I noticed the box had a 2-3 inch gouge in it and the box sagged telling me that a lot of weight was put on it, I inspected it carefully and was pleasantly surprised that the shipper thought of putting the case in an excellent protective cowling that had strong "bubble-tubes" in the cowling as well! I brought it over my friends' house and set it up. I had a chance to use the Amazon instant call tech support when I thought it was taking too long to set-up and reboot. It actually was fine, but the phone tech support must have been a continent or two away and we couldn't keep a connection long enough for it to be useful lol. I am fairly tech-savvy and was ready for most types of issues but actually I was very pleased for the simplicity and smooth transition from setup to finish, and seeing my friends smile at how much faster it booted up and ran the programs and few games that he likes to use! I build my own systems from the motherboard up and I knew exactly what to expect performance-wise at least from a new HP Pro Desktop box with those tech specs. I was not disappointed, It was an excellent choice!
Very happy with my purchase, 1st Time purchase of a refurbish computer.
I’ve only been using this computer for a week and this is the first time I purchased a rebuilt CPU. I needed my current desktop computer to edit photo’s on PhotoShop and Luminar. I found this CPU to be powerful enough to suite my needs at a very reasonable cost. I was planning to upgrade my current desktop but overall this cost this was better. The only issue I have is the video output which is DP or VGA. I did order an adapter for DP to HDMI however the adapter didn’t work at all and broke apart when removed. I then order a VGA cable to connect and the computer booted up quickly. I checked all the components which were correct: DVD drive, I5 Chip, plenty of USB, 8 gb of RAM, 512 SSD, and WiFi. A current legal copy of Windows 10 pro was installed that needed current updates, same updates as my laptop. The case has a small gruff mark other than that cosmetic the case and interior was like new. I will update this computer with a new low-profile Graphic Card with a HDMI output and more RAM.
The Seller has sent me a welcome email offing help if needed. As a precaution, I did purchase an extended warranty. As it stands now, I am very happy with my purchase.

The reviews I saw were pretty accurate. These look like business machines that were high end at the time, but are a bit older. They are clean, fully reconditioned. The heat sinks and cooling is oversized (that's good) and the machine is quiet. I can easily upgrade the 8MB Memory or the 500 GB SSD if I wanted to. There is room (and a power connection and an extra SATA port) for a spinning HD I added below the DVD. The machine runs well and is fast. Windows 10 was not activated, but instructions on activation were included and worked fine. The two issues that I saw were taken care of. My keyboard arrived cracked, and I got a credit for a new one. My DVD did not work, and they sent another one. Tech support was very responsive. I am VERY satisfied with this machine. It is a GREAT value! Only three stars on the gaming because it was not a gaming machine, but performs more basic tasks very well.

I was browsing new PCs for something to run Windows 10. Condition new would cost $500 for the features I wanted. So then I happened on this renewed PC. I noticed that the vendor was a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher and that Amazon would guarantee for 90 days. In view of the purchase price being< $200 I ordered the renewed PC. It arrived quickly well packed, and that was 5 weeks ago. I used a cable I had on hand to connect to my modem rather than using the attached WiFi wireless device. I attached an older monitor with a VGA I had on hand and the display looked fine. The case was in seemingly new condition. The mouse and keyboard are nice. Later I ordered a bluetooth dongle and it worked no problem. The optical drive included with the PC was also in good working condition.
My only problem arose when I tried to connect the DP in back to the HDMI on my old plasma TV. I'm fairly certain that I had ordered the correct cable/converter, but that connection was not successful.
This PC boots up in no time and is quite snappy and smooth. I've used the PC now 5 weeks. At this time I am giving it a five.
Great Value Purchase
I was a little concerned after reading the discrepancy between the good and bad reviews. Then found that even new computers, across almost all brands, had about 15% 1-star ratings as well. So instead of looking at the computer itself, I looked at the actual companies offering this HP system. Maybe the supplier was the issue.
Looking at it that way, I went with the highest rated supplier (TecRefurbs - 99% 5-star with thousands of reviews). I paid $10 more than the lowest price, but they delivered a super clean machine, with zero obvious damage inside and out, several days earlier than promised. I used the monitor, keyboard, mouse and wireless printer from my 9-year-old HP system and everything worked at startup. I'm keeping the provided keyboard and mouse as backups, so can't speak to their reliability. Windows 10 was installed as promised and activated with no issues. My Carbonite download brought back all my old docs, photos, videos and music and this system is still much faster than my old setup. I'm not a heavy gamer or streamer, so I don't need a huge amount of speed or memory. After a week of use, the system is still running fast and fine. It works for me and I saved some money in the process.
Great HP computer!
This is my second HP refurbished computer.(Purchased to replace a much older, but still operating unit). It arrived on time and though the box took a beating in shipping, the way the product was packaged kept it from any harm. Computer looked as good as new and when I took off the cover everything was sparkling clean. Computer is fast, quiet easy to set up and is operating flawlessly. Would definitely buy from this vendor again when the need arises.
